Prima Poker
The Prima Poker network is a group of poker rooms that players either love or hate. How they feel depends on their past experiences with the network.

Positively Prima Poker rooms offer a good selection of popular poker games: 5 Cared Stud, 7 Card Stud, Omaha, Texas Hold'em, are all there as are a large assortment of tournament opportunities for their players. Prima Poker has satellite tournaments for entrance to many different poker events including one they sponsor, the Monte Carlo Millions. Daily freeroll tournaments for new players and a huge number of guaranteed money tournaments are also offered. Prima Poker bonuses include a Magic Hand bonus, a progressive Bad Bet jackpot, and for new players a free $10 to use at the real money tables.

Negatively the Prima Poker network is dealing with several issues, they are having problems such as: A player who signs up at more that one prima poker room and doesn't use the same screen name at each of them will cause a flag to be set in the Prima Poker system that locks all of the accounts. Although players can see that Prima Poker may want to simplify the system by having them keep a single screen name throughout the network, they fail to see how when using ,say, Royal Vegas and Trident Lounge poker rooms they are not free to have different screen names at each, after all, they're different poker rooms. So, players use different screen names at different poker rooms, and have their accounts locked.

Yet another set bad press Prima Poker gets is due to fraud by people using stolen credit cards. The fraudulent scam involves two people. One of them uses a stolen credit card to open a poker account then communicating with the other he/she quickly loses a lot of money to his/her accomplice. The accomplice then quickly cashes out and a successful credit card theft has been run through the poker room. However, Prima Poker is aware that this type of scam occurs and quickly locks the accounts of both players. A problem arises however, when the scam is ruined by a winning poker player who is simply some random person playing, and not part of the team. The result has been cases where an honest poker player has inadvertently become involved in this type of situation, and has had accounts locked as a result.

Although Prima Poker has the above mentioned problems, the majority of people playing on the Prima Poker network will experience no problems. I personally have a good time there, especially playing low buy-in Heads Up tournaments. But, I do remember that I must use one screen name at all the Prima Poker rooms, and I avoid any games that involve a large bankroll.

Royal Vegas Poker
(One of many Prima rooms, but a personal favorite).
